The INTERNATIONAL GEMOLOGICAL STANDARD (I.G.S) as a Gem Testing and Diamond Grading facility 2010 the updating of the equipment proved. I.G.S. use of the lab facilities in the 2010 and hope that the laboratory services might be in the future.

Diamond grading reports

The report mentions the grade based on an internationally recognized system. The grade or quality of a diamond is based on four characteristics commonly referred to as the four C’s : Cut, Color, Clarity & Carat weight.

Gem identification reports

The report is based on colored stone analysis designed to identify the species and variety of a colored gem. With the advancement of more sophisticated techniques to create synthetic stones & various treatments used for enhancement, the report states whether the stone is synthetic, natural or treated. The report also provides the additional data relating to its cut, weight, measurements, color, and other major optical & physical characteristics

Jewellery quality reports- these reports provide reliable description of jewellery item. The report includes quality details of the gems mounted or set in the item along with weight of the gems & the metals. The reports also has a color photograph of the item for further identifying information.

Brief Report

The Brief Report is printed professionally credit card size plastic card. It is easier to carry and suitable to be placed in display cases next to the item that is for sale. As the name suggests, a Brief Report basically states the identify of the gemstones and any basic treatments & Diamond Jewellery Cut, Color, Clarity & Carat weight . IGS’s security seal is place on the front of the report. The authenticity of certificate can also checked on line through our website
